CCM  entered this project at an advanced state after it had stalled. The project had already been through several iterations and the projected cost was again well above the feasibility threshold for the Client.

Calibre immediately recognised the need for a detailed and hands on approach, establishing a new baseline cost for the current scheme, developing a programme of intensive value engineering whist protecting the design integrity and programme and maintaining a detailed overview of the development of design. In parallel a contract was developed that allowed a fully transparent progressive pricing & letting process with a fair and equitable apportionment of risk.

Calibre continued to actively manage the design & procurement process simultaneously, negotiating the priced stages with the Main Contractor whilst maintaining tight and detailed control of the development of the design. This allowed the Client confidence to progress with the project. As the project progresses CCM will continue with the traditional QS role of variation valuation, payment certification and Client reporting.
